This is probably the best Montecristo being sold today. It is like smoking dark chocolate with almonds with a espresso chaser. The Monte Subline will become this cigar's big brother someday but if I had to smoke one cigar for the rest of my life, this Monte C would be the one. Hard to find, stock up now before they are found only on Mitchell's auctions.

Cuban Rum Vintage 1998 - 46% (85€/L) by Christoph |

What a stunning example of a Cuban rum that is. We sampled some bottles during a cigar tasting event and I was blow away. Cuban rum has a destinctive nose - but that one is a class of its own. The elegance and fine sweetness is perfectly blended with the power it has. Currently NO other Cuban rum out there at 46%.

Some days ago I smoked some of these. Not always on my scanner they are but on the recent production I was positively surprised - to say the least. Packed with strong tobacco flavor and of a long lingering perfume ...thats what I call a Havana cigar for MAN :-)

I lovely afternoon smoke - especially recent production shows how a real VR may be. The wrappers are like chocolate and so is the taste. Yummy ones

very well made, excellent draw(which is not allways the case with long thin cigars from cuba) i was impressed by how clean and refressing the cigar was. medium bodied but complex, would go well with coffee in the AM or a cold beer in the afternoon, it has enough complexity to go with a scotch or brandy also.this cigar will improve with age but it is great now.
