Yesterday (20 June 2007), I smoked my first Partagas Mille Fleurs (a Petit Corona size that came boxed [10] with a date of Feb 2006 [thanx Christoph & Art…smile), and this is my Cigar Review.
The body, construction and wrapper were beautiful and after using my Antique Cigar Screw type Piercer (I make 4 holes without damaging the ‘Cap’), the light was smooth, the ‘draw’ excellent and the ‘burn’ was even and steady. A rich, pure tobacco taste and at first the smoke was
one-dimensional in complexity, but the aroma was ‘intoxicating’ and the taste was creamy, mild and ‘smooth as silk’. A very nice cigar, finely crafted as evident with its smooth even burn.
This Cigar then began to ‘enhance’ the qualities above at the ‘half-way’ point (I couldn’t put it down), and ‘exploded’ with complexity with tastes of wood, a bit of sweetness and a ‘dash’ spice at the end as the Cigar got shorter. I can say, that I smoked this Cigar (after a ‘rest’) down ‘to the nib’ and truly enjoyed every puff……..truly in ‘a league in its own’. A perfect complement with coffee and/or Cognac.
To briefly sum up, again, a very smooth and elegant cigar that was very satisfying, never overwhelming and a perfect sized smoke and bottom line up front…………the Partagas Mille Fleurs is a wonderful, affordable everyday and festive Cigar (5 out of 5 Stars).
Thank You
With Kindest Regards
