Around summer of 1986 I ran into these cigars for the first time. The very special flafour and the heavy aromes of these smokes are still present in my memories. Presidentes made in 1984 were still wrapped in cellophane which might have further enhanced the spicy notes and the strenght. Later, by the beginning of the 1990's these magnificent smokes vanished from the market and new relases by the end of the last century showed to be bland - only the size itself reminded us to what that cigar was in the good old times. One of Cubas best cigars seemed to have disappeared forever - but the situation changed again.
Presidentes of the 2005/ 2006 vintage showed their old power, spicyness, full flavour and a perfect draw. After test smoking many cigars from different boxes I am happy to say that these Presidentes are a clear BUY - friends of classic smokes and the old style will enjoy them - and on top of that they show a great ageing potential - just as they should.
