The small cedar boxes with glas tops were a common gift used in the 1940’s and the very early 1950’s. Filled with cigars from the standard boxes they looked far better – and the glamour of these lovely boxes continues until today. This lovely small cabinet from the famous H.Upmann brand carries the brands name on the glas and on the sides – and it is stamped “Made in Havana-Cuba” underneath. That dates the box back to the 1950’s – one of the youngest from our collection. Boxes with branded glas lids are very hard to find today and so this a very special piece.
