A first rare piece from a famous cigar collection is this barrel made by Cubatobacco in the 1960s. Today you still may find some of these barrels but of course not a full one in perfect original condition. This is the finest example I have seen so far - and the CUBATOABCCO banded cigars are in wonderful condition.

This picture shows the only known specimen of the longest cigar ever produced officially in Cuba, the Partagas Visible Inmeso. Original documents show the cigar was mentioned in the production list. The lenght of this extraordinary Havana cigar is 495mm - nearly half a meter of finest tobacco. I would guess (by expirience with a similar cigar I had when my daughter was born) this cigar provides about 6 full hours of smoking if you could stand it.
An interesting detail is that it had been stored in a european collection before it found its way to Hong Kong. The previous owner must have added a little drop of fine brandy to his humidification device as the cigar currently spreads a very pleasant but non-typical alcoholic flavour. This would disappear once the cigar would be taken out the giantic glass tube. A true gemstone of this cigar collection
The collector allowed me to take a shot of his hands while inspecting some cigars of his collection. Carefully he checked a box of 10 Davidoff 80.Anniversarios (of course the Cuban version ) signed by Zino Davidoff, a prestine specimen of the Hoyo de Monterrey Humidor No.1 and some other fine and rare Havana cigars.....
